Was the Watchtower Involved with the United Nations?

I'm hoping to do some more research on this as well as get some feedback from JW's to make sure its a solid case. If so, i'll hopefully do a more detailed video unless, that is, someone beats me to it. Either way, I don't see how a JW could look at this and not be shocked, considering how stern they are in condemning political involvement.

I've never known the society to be apologetic, repentant and humble when caught in the wrong. They admit they've been wrong ..yes..but they're always on the defensive and somewhat haughty about their mistakes,as if they should be freely forgiven while they lambast everyone else, setting different standards for themselves. It is hard to ignore such hypocrisy.

Hey Kellie, thanks for your comment. This information is actually quite new to me, and it's something I don't think JW's can ignore. I'd really be interested to see how they'd respond to this.

Hi Mike,

This has been very well documented on a number of different sites and has been confirmed in a letter from the U.N.

The Wt does have an excuse, saying that they Joined in order to have access to research material. However further research by some has shown that they did nit need to join in order to gain access to what they wanted.

I think perhaps the real reason that they joined was being an NGO helped them in some countries that they were having difficulty with.
